FVHDA is parent-sponsored association that promotes Highland Dancing throughout the Lower Mainland. Formed in 1976, the FVHDA has a long standing history of supporting Highland Dance in British Columbia. Today, the FVHDA has over 150 members and an executive board with 12 elected position.
The FVHDA organizes three closed competitions and one open competition a year under the sanctioning of the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (SOBHD) of Scotland.
The first competition of the 2009-2010 season will be November 14th at the Chieff Sepass Theatre in Fort Langley, BC. Information on the 2010 competitions to be coming soon.
