Dancers must join the FVHDA and pay a membership fee prior to being entered in any FVHDA closed competitions. FVHDA boundaries are open to dancers in North America.
There are three classes of membership in the Association.
- Ordinary Members are entitled to one vote per member at all meetings of members of the Association.
- Life Members have the same privileges as ordinary members and will be exempt from annual fees.
- Honorary Members are not entitled to vote at, but are entitled to notice of meetings of the members of the Association, and are not required to pay any membership fees.
