Dancer Check-In
Competitors can pick up their number from the designated table upon arrival. A valid RSOBHD dancer registration card must be presented before their number will be released to them. A $10 non-refundable fee (cash only) will be collected from a dancer who is not able to produce a valid RSOBHD card. Any prizes won may be withheld until a valid card can be presented.
Change Rooms
Both female and male change rooms will be available to dancers in the rooms located along the corridor off the entry/lobby area and will be identified with signs. Should you prefer a universal change room or a family change room, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing comp.sec.fvhda@gmail.com so that we may organize a space for you.
Warm-Up Rooms
The following spaces can be used for warming up:
- Line-up room
- Corridor (dancers may bring their own foam matting for personal use)
- Dance classrooms (available to Premier dancers only as of 11am; street shoes are strictly prohibited in these rooms as they will damage the floors)
Etiquette for Theatre Entry and Exit
Please enter and exit the theatre from the top of the stairs. The lower doors are reserved to those requiring an accessible entry/exit. To minimize noise and disruption, enter and exit the theatre between dances only (that is, as dancers are entering or exiting the stage).
Platform Schedule
Morning dancing will begin at 9am starting with the Primary dancers. Afternoon dancing will not begin before 12:30pm for the Premier dancers. Links to the platforms schedules are available below.

Beginner & Novice dancers
For those dancers competing in the Lilt and/or Flora, they should change into their national outfit as soon as they are done the Seann Triubhas (or the Sword, if not competing in the Seann Triubhas). Once changed, we kindly ask that dancers immediately return to the line-up room so that the morning dance events can continue without delay. Intermediate dancers
For those dancers competing in the Hornpipe, they should change into their Hornpipe outfit as soon as they are done the Highland Laddie.
