Change Rooms

Both female and male change rooms will be available to dancers in the rooms located along the corridor off the entry/lobby area and will be identified with signs.  Should you prefer a universal change room or a family change room, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing comp.sec.fvhda@gmail.com so that we may organize a space for you.

Warm-Up Rooms

The following spaces can be used for warming up:

  • Line-up room
  • Corridor (dancers may bring their own foam matting for personal use)
  • Dance classrooms (available to Premier dancers only as of 11am; street shoes are strictly prohibited in these rooms as they will damage the floors)

Etiquette for Theatre Entry and Exit

Please enter and exit the theatre from the top of the stairs. The lower doors are reserved to those requiring an accessible entry/exit. To minimize noise and disruption, enter and exit the theatre between dances only (that is, as dancers are entering or exiting the stage).

Platform Schedule

Morning dancing will begin at 9am starting with the Primary dancers. Afternoon dancing will not begin before 12:30pm for the Premier dancers. Links to the platforms schedules are available below.

Morning Platform Schedule
Afternoon Platform Schedule

For Beginner Dancers

Beginner dancers performing the Lilt should change into their national outfit immediately following the Special Fling. The Lilt will begin as soon as the Novice and Intermediate dancers have finished the Flora. The Flora is expected to run approximately 7 to 9 minutes so Beginner dancers are asked to keep this in mind to ensure they report back to the line-up room for the Lilt in a timely manner. Please refer to the morning platform schedule for the sequence of dance events.

For Novice and Intermediate Dancers

Novice and Intermediate dancers will change into their national outfit immediately following the Seann Triubhas. The Flora will be first, followed by the Lilt. The Flora will begin as soon as the Beginner dancers have finished the Special Fling. The Special Fling is expected to run approximately 5 to 7 minutes so Novice and Intermediate dancers are asked to keep this in mind to ensure they report back to the line-up room for the Flora in a timely manner. Please refer to the morning platform schedule for the sequence of dance events.

Concession

A concession service will not be available at this competition. There will be tables setup in the entry/lobby area for those who would like to bring their own food and drinks. Please note that only water is allowed in the theatre.
